The Daily Notes -- August 29, 1911 PITTSBURG NEWSPAPER MAN GIVES PRAISE TO NOTES

Many unsought compliments have been paid The Notes for its reports of the disaster of last Saturday night. The people working on the paper simply tried to do their duty; all worked under a strain, and all did their best to make the accounts as accurate as could possible be done. Very many people have given praise for the reports.

C. A. Evans, general manager of the Tri-State News Bureau, Pittsburg, which handles news of western Pennsylvania for the Pittsburg papers and the Associated Press, writes:

“You are certainly to be congratulated on the extra you got out Saturday evening and the extra issued Sunday afternoon, copies of which I read last evening. It was real up to date work. I congratulate The Notes on its enterprise.”
