The Daily Notes -- August 28, STATE LAW GOVERNING MOVING PICTURE THEATERS
Harrisburg, August 28 – Moving Picture show places are under state supervision by the terms of the act of 1909, which is know as the moving picture law. It was drafted by Chief Factory Inspector John C. Delaney and provides in brief as follows:
All booths to be fire-proof.
Each theater to have three aisles four feet wide.
Doors to e at least five feet wide and open outward.
Exit places to have separate lights inside the building. In addition to this law the state under the act of 1905 requires fire escapes on all theaters and amusement halls.
